Hey kids!!!
Thanks for stopping by. This past week was relatively painless! I have some new entertainment dates to check out.
I had a quiet weekend at Key West Cantina. No major mayhem or excitement to report! It is always good to see the regulars who come in week after week to support both myself and the bartenders. Thank you!!! The restaurant was nice and busy. Y’all should stop by and say “hi!” when you can. We’d love to see you!!!!
The Dek was its usual mayhem. By 2 P.M. the bar was full and it was “Game On!!!” I debuted “The Dek Bar Blues”, a song about The Dek and some of its employees and patrons. We celebrated T’s birthday. We did the limbo. We donated my tip jar to a fund for the family of a regular customer who was killed two weeks ago in an accident. People stepped up and we put $140.00 together. Thank you to all who contributed!!! Next week I will be selling shaker eggs for a buck a piece, and will donate that money, as well. Every Sunday is becoming more and more interesting, to say the least! It is something that needs to be experienced to understand it completely!
My new gig at Brixz could use some support! I realize it s mid-week and not the easiest time to get out. I start pretty early, 7PM. If anyone can come by for a drink, it would be appreciated. It’s a very nice room, with an outside patio overlooking a golf course. I hope to see you there soon!

Tequila Tom’s Restaurant of the Week….
My pick this week is another fine Cape Coral eatery. It is… Esquisito’s!!!!! Esquisito’s is located at the corner of 47th Terrace and Vincennes Blvd. They serve some of the finest Italian cuisine I have enjoyed in the three years I have been in this culinary-challenged county. I have eaten there several times and have not ONE complaint! I give Esquisito’s 5 out of 5 Rolaids. If you knew Andrew, the owner, you also would give the restaurant 5 out of 5 Rolaids. Anything less could result in serious bodily harm!
The service is excellent. All servers are well versed in both the menu and wine list. They can recommend a wine for any dish that they serve. The menu is well balanced and diverse. The tiramisu might be the best in the entire world. Now, I realize that that is a rather bold proclamation. As I stated last week, it’s my damned newsletter and I’ll say what I want! And while I am at it, Jean LeBouf, the local ‘food critic’, can KISS MY ASS!!!!! What an arrogant pompous PUTZ he is!!!!! Come on Jean, you and me, one on one, anytime, anyplace!!!
Sorry. One thing I will say is make sure you have time to enjoy this meal. All good things take time. Be sure to go with someone you like and have something in common with to talk about. You can only eat so much bread (superb, by the way) and go for so many cigarettes before you will have to talk to the face sitting across from you. Did you ever have one of those dates where you realize you can’t stand the person you’re with? Because of this, I recommend always being drunk on a first date. This way you are relaxed, and more likely to be charming.
Anyway… Stop in and see Andrew. Tell him that Tequila Tom sent you, and that I put his sign back. Thanks!
My Top Ten List this week……
Top Ten Things I Thought I Heard My Ex-Wife Say….
10. “Would you mind maxing out all of our credit cards?”
9. “Don’t forget to insult my boss and his wife at the Christmas Party.”
8. “Go get really, really drunk, don’t call and come home whenever.”
7. “I’ll paint the house while you go fishing for the weekend with the boys.”
6. “Please go to Atlantic City without letting me know and blow our mortgage payment.”
5. “Take my car, drive it all day, leave it on ‘E’, and don’t tell me.”
4. “Drink too much the first time you meet my family and pass out at the dinner table.”
3. “Tell me I’ve got a big ass, it makes me feel good.”
2. “Would you go to the strip club and bring home two dancers?”
1. “Just quit your job, I’ll support you for as long as you want.”
It’s always amazing to me how the smallest of things can go and ruin a relationship…
Until next week,
Tequila Tom
