Well Howdy, all!!!! Welcome to the very first Tequilagram ever! I have absolutely no idea what this is going to turn into or how it will come out, but we’ll see. Thank you for signing up on the email list. For those of you at The Dek this past Sunday, I need not explain to you what a circus we were running there! An awesome time was had by all. I want to thank you guys for making it one of the most fun days of music I have ever had!!!! It was very nice seeing my Punta Gorda friends Saturday evening. Thankfully, we avoided any gun play!

Tequila Tom’s Pub Crawl

In the 3 years since I moved to Florida, I have had the opportunity to meet quite a few great musicians.  When I have a night off, I like to go see them play, and heckle anonymously from the back of the room. I know this sounds kind of self-defeating to plug other people’s gigs. I am not terribly concerned about no one showing up to say hello to me! I do not know the exact schedules of every one I mention, but I will list what I can think of. I will do this by day of the week.

Tequila Tom’s Restaurant of the Week!

OK... It’s my damn newsletter, and I’ll write what I want!!! I LOVE to eat, and I am very good at it!!!! There are a ton of great restaurants in the area. I am eating my way through all of them! I will share all of this wonderful gastronomy with you…OK, maybe that was worded poorly…   Anyway… My pick of the week…

Paesano’s… Lafayette Street in Cape Coral. MMM MMM MMM… Tequila Tom gives Paesano’s 4 out of 5 Rolaids. I know it’s been there for a while, but it’s new to me. The calamari is excellent, as are the fried ravioli. My current favorite sandwich is the Soprano… I mean FUGEDABOWDIT! The pizza was awesome. Not bad for Florida at all! The canoli… To die for… Typically the service is very efficient. We did have one experience with service one day that did cost them the 5th Rolaid, involving red sauce, red wine and a lot of club soda. Try to go before the lunch rush or after it… All in all… I’ll be back there again!!!
